A tour of the eco-technological plant for generating electricity from municipal solid waste was held at the sanitary landfill for presidential envoys in the regions, akims (heads of districts), and mayors, the Bishkek City Hall’s press service reported.
The tour was led by Bishkek Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliev, who presented modern technological solutions for waste processing and electricity generation.
The delegation learned about the plant’s operations, waste processing process, environmental safety system, and innovative solutions used in production. Participants were given detailed information about the plant’s design capacity, waste disposal system, and the volume of electricity generated from solid waste processing.
Construction of the first eco-technological plant in Central Asia has become an important step in addressing waste management issues and improving the environmental situation in Bishkek.
Currently, the facility is capable of processing up to 1,000 tons of waste per day, with a subsequent gradual increase in capacity.
