An earthquake measuring approximately 4.5 on the 12-point MSK-64 scale at its epicenter was recorded today at about 1.14 p.m. The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to preliminary data, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in China: 34 kilometers south of the village of Bedel and 140 kilometers south of Karakol.
In populated areas of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake’s intensity was reported to reach magnitude 3 (in the village of Bedel).
