Foreigner detained in Jalal-Abad region with 5 kilograms of hashish

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported the interception of a drug trafficking channel from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

According to the state committee, a foreign national, A.A.A., purchased 5 kilograms of hashish in Jalal-Abad region and intended to smuggle it into Uzbekistan.

He was detained on October 2 near the state border. An investigation is ongoing.
