More than 527 million soms have been paid to personal assistants of citizens with disabilities in Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported.
According to its data, as of May 1, 2025, at least 14,805 people provide personal assistant services in the country. The total amount is 527,246,336 soms (including insurance and banking expenses).
In total, 15,125 persons with disabilities in need of constant assistance are registered in the country, of whom 9,546 are children under 18 years old, and 5,579 are adults with first-group disabilities since childhood.
For comparison, 14,411 assistants received payments for a total of 421,898,878 soms for the same period in 2024. At that time, the number of people in need was 14,712 people (including 9,551 children, 5,161 adults).
