On April 20, First Lady of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Japarova took part in the International Forum «Digital Skills for All: New Faces.»
The event served as a platform for open dialogue on equal opportunities in the digital age. Its goal is to highlight how digitalization can act as a driver for sustainable development, inclusion, and the empowerment of women and youth in Central Asia.
«Digital skills are the key to new opportunities, sustainable development, and the empowerment of women and youth in Central Asia. Particular attention is being paid to Kyrgyzstan’s gender policy, including objectives outlined in the presidential decree on active involvement of women in digital development and innovations. The forum is timed to coincide with the International Girls in ICT Day, observed annually on April 25. Established by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the day underscores the importance of increasing the participation of women and girls in the field of information and communication technologies,» the organizers said.
The event brought together experts in artificial intelligence, digital finance, STEM education, entrepreneurship, and cybersecurity.
Thought leaders and professionals from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Russia shared their insights and experiences.
