Kyrgyzstan will receive a grant from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to improve medical equipment in tertiary healthcare organizations in Bishkek. Deputies approved the agreement at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.
Deputy Minister of Health Kaarmanbek Baidavletov noted that the draft law is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services, protecting and strengthening the health of the country’s population. According to him, under the agreement, JICA will provide a grant of up to 1.5 billion Japanese yen.
In particular, financial support will be provided to the Mirsaid Mirrakhimov National Center of Cardiology and Therapy, the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation, and the National Center of Oncology and Hematology.
