Construction of a new government town will begin in Bishkek in the spring of 2025. The complex will be located opposite Yntymak-Ordo, and all ministries and departments are planned to be moved there. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov said on November 7 during a press breakfast.
According to him, by the end of 2024, buildings of government agencies in Bishkek will be put up for auction and sold. This decision, as the head of the Cabinet noted, is aimed at rationalizing the use of state resources and creating modern working conditions.
A multifunctional congress hall is planned to be built on the site of VDNKh. Its construction will be completed by 2026, in time for the SCO summit, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier, President Sadyr Japarov announced plans to build an administrative complex for ministries and departments at the opening of Yntymak-Ordo presidential palace in August 2024. The new complex will become part of the program to modernize the infrastructure of public administration and will allow key government bodies to be concentrated in one place.
