Only 18 out of the country’s 45 livestock markets comply with sanitary requirements. The press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the remaining 27 livestock markets are undergoing repairs to bring them into compliance with sanitary requirements.
«However, the work provided for by the instructions of local government bodies is not always completed on time,» the statement says.
The press service added that livestock markets in Nookat district of Osh region and Moskovsky district of Chui region are closed altogether.
