By the end of this year, per capita GDP will be about $2,500. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov announced, speaking at the National Forum dedicated to the topic «Human Capital and Sustainable Development».
According to him, the only wealth, the only potential that can raise Kyrgyzstan to new heights is the human capital inherent in our multinational people.
«We expect that per capita GDP will be about $2,500, so we can say that the GDP has doubled in four years. The country’s budget has tripled in three years, in 2020 it was 247.7 billion soms, and in 2024 it will exceed 660 billion soms,» the head of the Cabinet added.
Akylbek Japarov reminded that the President has set the main task for the government — to unlock the potential of the citizens, create opportunities for obtaining a quality education and mastering new skills, improving health, developing creativity, increasing jobs and supporting various initiatives.
«We believe that investments in education, healthcare, social security are the most effective investments that lay the foundation for a strong and prosperous nation of tomorrow. Today’s forum is an invitation to government agencies, the private sector, civil society and our international partners to a dialogue on how we can build Kyrgyzstan, which in conditions of stability and peace will provide everyone with the opportunity to live, study and work with dignity,» he said.
Akylbek Japarov noted that the current economic policy has strengthened the country’s position: last year, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP exceeded 1.2 trillion soms, this figure is expected to reach 1.5 trillion soms this year.
