Land of Oberon market valued at 3.8 billion soms, returned to state

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of illegal acquisition of land plots by Oberon LLC located at Dordoi (6.42 hectares) and Orto-Sai (1.68 hectares) markets. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

According to its data, in 1998, the owners of the markets received the plots for temporary use (lease).

«Despite this, Oberon LLC, in collusion with officials, illegally received state acts on the right of private ownership of the above-mentioned markets. As part of the criminal case, the department of the capital’s City Hall filed an administrative claim to invalidate the illegally issued acts,» the SCNS stated.

According to the decision of the Administrative and City Courts of Bishkek, the markets were transferred to the municipal ownership of the City Hall. Land plots worth 3,889,563 billion soms with a total area of 8.1 hectares were returned to the state. In the future, income from these markets will go to the city budget.

Currently, the SCNS is conducting measures to establish the involvement of other officials this crime; a legal assessment will be given to their actions.
