Almost 28,000 criminal cases opened in Kyrgyzstan since beginning of 2024

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan summed up the results of the operational activities of the internal affairs bodies for the first nine months of 2024.

First Deputy Minister Adylbek Biybosunov made a report.

«At least 29,872 criminal cases were opened in the republic for the first nine months of 2024, of which 27,713 were opened by the internal affairs bodies, which made up 92.8 percent. The dynamics of relative crime decreased by 17.4 percent,» he said.

Particular attention was paid to shortcomings in operational activities, the results of the inspection of the work of internal affairs bodies in the regions. The need to make every effort to fulfill the assigned tasks, improve positions among government agencies and in international rankings was emphasized.

Adylbek Biybosunov urged his subordinates to perceive criticism correctly and added that it was necessary to correct weaknesses, strengthen the main areas of activity, and apply a new approach.
