Kumtor Gold Company CJSC is taking part in EXPO 2024 organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan. The company reported.
For three days, visitors of the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the products of the company’s branch — a tire recycling plant located in Tokmak city, Chui region.
As the director of the enterprise Alexander Smetanin noted, participation in the exhibition is an excellent opportunity to once again demonstrate a unique production facility that has no analogues in Central Asia.
«In addition, within the framework of EXPO 2024 exhibition, we intend to establish business relations with potential buyers of our products. With the commissioning of the plant at full production capacity in the coming months, we will significantly increase the production volumes of rubber crumb, thereby fully meeting the existing demand for it on the market. I would like to note that rubber crumb can be used in the production of flooring for modern playgrounds, artificial football pitches, various rubber floor coverings, in textile production and metalworking,» he said.
The tire recycling plant was opened in 2023 in test mode. The main task of the subsidiary of Kumtor Gold Company is the processing and recovery of used car tires at the mine. Those that cannot be recovered are used to produce crumb rubber and high-alloy steel.
When reaching full production capacity, the plant will be able to process up to 2 tons of car tires per hour, recover up to 2,000 large-sized and up to 8,000 medium- and light-sized car tires for special equipment per year.
