The Ministers of Energy of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan agreed on the operation of water and energy systems in the autumn-winter period. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported on Telegram channel.
The parties agreed on the energy and water balance, discussed regional hydropower projects — the construction of Kambarata HPP and plans to build a power plant on Chatkal River in Kyrgyzstan. The Chinese corporation CCEC expressed interest in the project.
Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Kamal Abbasov participated in the meeting as a guest.
Following the discussions, the parties agreed to form a roadmap for water and energy cooperation and regularly hold meetings of joint working groups.
