As part of a working visit to Munich (Federal Republic of Germany), the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov took part in the Kyrgyz-German Business Council.

He noted the importance of developing agriculture for the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasizing the unique climatic conditions of the country, which allow growing a variety of agricultural crops.

«To fully unlock the potential of the agricultural sector, we need to introduce modern technologies and methods, and in this context, we see Germany as a reliable partner,» the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

He emphasized that Germany’s achievements in the field of agronomy, product processing and sustainable agriculture can become an important support for the republic.

«The GSP+ regime opens up new opportunities for export of our agricultural products to the markets of the European Union. And we are open to creating joint projects that will increase production volumes and improve the quality of products,» he added.

According to Akylbek Japarov, Kyrgyzstan is rich in natural resources, including minerals, metals and precious stones, as well as rare earth metals.

«We recently launched the development of a large titanomagnetite deposit Kyzyl-Ompol, which will become an important stage in the country’s mining industry,» he noted.

The official expressed readiness to cooperate with German partners in the development and processing of raw materials, which will significantly increase the added value of the Kyrgyz Republic’s resources and ensure sustainable economic development.

«We strive to create transparent and favorable conditions for investors, as well as to improve the legal framework, which will make our partnership as effective as possible,» he added.

The Kyrgyz-German Business Council became a platform for discussing the prospects and opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture and the raw materials.
