The Ministers of Health of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey signed a protocol of intent to create a unified information system TÜRKTRANSPLANT. The press center of the Ministry of Health reported.
According to it, the signing took place in Shusha (Azerbaijan) within the framework of the 4th Meeting of the Ministers of Health of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The purpose of the protocol is to create a unified information system that will coordinate the processes of organ donation and transplantation between the member states of the OTS.
TÜRKTRANSPLANT system will ensure the exchange of information on donors and recipients, simplify the organization of organ transplants and allow the participating countries to jointly resolve issues related to donation and transplantation.
The protocol also provides for the standardization of diagnostic methods, creation of transplant centers and performing surgeries, as well as joint training for medical specialists aimed at improving their qualifications.
The key intentions include development of uniform legislation on organ transplantation in the states of the OTS and the creation of a pool of donor organs available to member countries based on mutual cooperation.
Creation of TÜRKTRANSPLANT system will not only strengthen coordination in the field of transplantology, but will also significantly increase the number of donor organs available to patients. This will be an important step in the development of medical care and strengthening the relationship between the states of the Turkic-speaking world.
It is noted that all activities will be carried out in accordance with the legislation of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.
