Crime rate lowering registered in Kyrgyzstan — National Statistical Committee

Lowering of the crime rate was registered in Kyrgyzstan. The National Statistical Committee presented such data, citing the statistics from the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The report shows that 25,700 crimes were committed in the country in the first eight months of 2024. This is 14.8 percent less than in the same period of 2023.

In total, 3,100 serious and especially serious crimes were registered from January to August (-11.9 percent). The majority of them are crimes against property — more than 71 percent of the total number of offenses.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, 13,01 people committed crimes, 11,164 of them were men and 1,837 — women. At least 8.5 percent of the crimes were committed by citizens under 18.
