The Minister of Health believes that Kyrgyzstan needs to resume the practice of preventive medical examinations, «as it was in the USSR.» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said this on the air of Birinchi Radio.

According to him, every year people are faced with new diseases that are a consequence of not entirely favorable ecology, lifestyle and nutritional conditions. The official complained that it is becoming more difficult to treat each time.

He also noted that the situation is worse in rural areas, where Kyrgyzstanis have harder life — they do more physical work both around the house and in everyday life. At the same time, villagers do not seek medical help until they become critically ill.

«We conduct month’s campaigns of free examination to detect various diseases or pathologies. Explanatory work is carried out in each region. When mobile clinics go to remote areas, many women are diagnosed with cancer. Many of them have an advanced form of the disease. Of course, we treat, prescribe medications, do chemotherapy,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told.

He called on citizens to be more responsible for their health.

Preventive medical examination is a set of measures that includes a medical examination and additional examination methods.
