The Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan has begun considering in the first reading a bill on ratification of the agreement with Russia on providing a grant for the construction of nine schools with Russian as the language of instruction in Kyrgyzstan.
The Eurasian Development Bank will implement the project. The schools were to be built in seven regions, Bishkek and Osh cities. However, after the administrative-territorial reform, Novopavlovka village was annexed to the capital, and now two schools will be built in Bishkek, and none in Chui region.
All schools will be built according to a standard design. They are designed for 1,224 children. The amount of money that will be allocated for this is not yet known.
The deputies thanked the Russian government for such assistance.
