The head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) Kamchybek Tashiev urged the employees of the committee and other civil servants not to carry out the orders of his children and relatives.
Speaking at the opening of the new building of the SCNS department in Kyzyl-Kiya city, he warned that if any of the civil servants contact his relatives, they will be subject to official investigations.
«Even if you talk on the phone with my relatives, children, you will be held accountable. You are not obliged to carry out their requests, orders. I do not solve my personal affairs with the help of my position and have never given orders to solve the problems of my relatives and will not give them,» Kamchybek Tashiev said.
He recalled that there was a family-clan rule in Kyrgyzstan under the previous authorities. Relatives of the country’s leaders interfered in the work of the state, and this should not happen in the future.
Kamchybek Tashiev added that his relative, detained on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale, has been in a pretrial detention center for the third month.
«He held a high position, was a police colonel. But it turned out that, hiding behind my name, he committed illegal acts, and is now in prison. He will pay the victims, get his punishment within the framework of the law, and only then he will be released,» the SCNS head said.
