Winners of International Olympiads, their trainers receive cash awards

Winners of International Olympiads and their trainers were presented with cash awards. The press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov took part in the ceremony of the High-Tech Park to award schoolchildren, who won International Olympiads in mathematics (IMO 2024), computer science (IOI 2024), physics (IPHO 2024), chemistry (ICHO 2024) and biology (IBO 2024), as well as their trainers.

Presenting the awards, Edil Baisalov noted the success of the teams of the Kyrgyz Republic in international Olympiads this year and the contribution of students to the development of science.

Trainers Artem Belyaev and Kylychbek Uraiymov made a report on the topic «Success of the Kyrgyz Republic at the Olympiad».

Since the beginning of 2024, Kyrgyzstan’s schoolchildren have won one gold, five silver, six bronze medals and six honorary diplomas at International Olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and computer science.

The ministry added that earlier, during the awarding of the winners of the Republican Olympiad, one of the sponsors, who supported persistent and smart youth, the Director of the High-Tech Park Azis Abakirov, said that on behalf of the park he would present $10,000 to the student, who won a gold medal in the international competition, $5,000 — to the winner of a silver medal and $1,000 — to the bronze medalist.
