An Organ Transplantation Center will be opened at the Osh City Clinical Hospital. The press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev visited the hospital as part of his working trip to Osh. He got acquainted with the current state of the medical institution, inspected the departments. He met with the management and staff of the hospital and discussed the key stages of preparation for the opening of the Organ Transplantation Center.
«The hospital has modern operating units equipped with the latest technology, which will enable to perform complex operations, including organ transplantation. It is equipped with the necessary medical equipment and a laboratory. In addition, the medical staff has already been formed at the hospital, including experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators and other specialists, who have been trained and prepared to perform transplant operations,» the ministry noted.
The minister emphasized that the opening of the Organ Transplantation Center will increase the availability of high-tech medical care for the population of the southern region of the country.
«The opening of the Center at the Osh City Clinical Hospital is part of a broader strategy of the Ministry of Health on development of transplantation in the country and reduction of the need to send patients abroad for treatment,» he said.
Alymkadyr Beishenaliev gave instructions to the management of the City Clinical Hospital to complete preparatory work for the opening of the organ transplant department as soon as possible.
