The presidential administration supported the initiative of the Bishkek City Hall to restrict the use of personal cars by municipal employees. The press service of the City Hall reported.
The corresponding instruction was sent to ministries and departments with a recommendation for all employees to use public transport on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The initiative is aimed at improving the transport situation in the city, increasing demand for public transport and reducing traffic congestion. Such measures also help to detect problems in the operation of public transport and contribute to the creation of comfortable conditions for the movement of city residents.
Recall, the capital’s municipality introduced this rule back in May 2024 for its employees and has already punished municipal employees for failure to comply with this restriction.
