The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Chairman of the Turkish Banking Association, General Director of Ziraat Bank Alpaslan Cakar in Ankara. The Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
One of the significant results of the meeting was the agreement on organizing a specialized meeting of representatives of banking institutions of both countries on the platform of the Turkish Banking Association to discuss and resolve pressing issues of cooperation.
The parties also discussed the prospects for holding the next meeting of the Association of Banks of Turkic Countries in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, the issue of opening a branch of Ziraat Bank in Kyrgyzstan was raised, which would strengthen economic ties between the countries.
Ambassador Kazakbaev emphasized the importance of this step, noting that Ziraat Bank branches already operate in 20 countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia, and invited Alpaslan Cakar on a working visit to Kyrgyzstan to study in more detail the possibilities of expanding cooperation.
