Deputy Cabinet Chairman Bakyt Torobaev agrees with China on export increase

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held talks with representatives of China on expansion of cooperation. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The official met with Secretary of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China Yu Jianhua and discussed increase of export from Kyrgyzstan.

As a result, the parties agreed on export of kidney beans and wool to China. They also discussed improvement of customs procedures at the border, which will simplify the transportation of goods.

In 2023, the volume of trade between the countries reached $20 billion, which shows a growth of trade relations.

In addition, Bakyt Torobaev met with the Minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Li Xiaopeng. The parties agreed to increase the quota for crossing the border by trucks — 40,000 vehicles will be allowed to enter and exit from each side until the end of the year.
