Burning garbage at landfill: Kant Town Hall fined 28,000 soms

Municipality of Kant was fined 28,000 soms for violation of environmental safety.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, inspectors of the Chui Regional Department of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service conducted a raid.

On the fact of burning waste at the landfill in Gagarin village in Issyk-Ata district, as well as for violation of the procedure for emitting pollutants into the atmosphere, a protocol on the offense was drawn up against the head of Emgek Lux municipal enterprise of the Town Hall and a fine was imposed.

After the intervention of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the fire was brought under control by 90 percent.
