A decrease in the unemployment rate is registered in Kyrgyzstan. The results of a sample survey of household budgets and the labor force, conducted by the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan in 2023, say.
According to the document, the labor force size aged 15 and older in the reporting period amounted to more than 2.7 million people, more than 2.6 million of them were employed and 112,000 were unemployed.
The number of employed people aged 15 and older increased by 3 percent compared to 2022, while the number of unemployed decreased by 15 percent.
The employment rate of the population as a whole reached 56 percent, down 0.8 percent from 2022.
