Employees of the Tax Service have discovered an illegal workshop, where counterfeit alcoholic beverages were produced. The press service of the state service reported.
During the inspection of the premises, 120 bottles of counterfeit vodka and 114 counterfeit excise stamps were found and seized.
The case materials have been transferred to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
The Tax Service reminds that fines and criminal liability are provided for the sale of tobacco and alcoholic products without excise taxes. Sale of up to 1,000 units of tobacco products without excise taxes is punishable by a fine of 65,000 soms, and for a larger volume — imprisonment for up to five years.
The Tax Service calls on entrepreneurs not to break the law and check the authenticity of excise stamps before sale.
