The Ministry of Labor of Kyrgyzstan intends to increase the size of ui-bulogo komok allowance. The ministry submitted a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers for public discussion.
As the background statement says, in accordance with the law, the monthly ui-bulogo komok allowance is provided to children under 16 years old from low-income families with a monthly income per family member below the guaranteed minimum income — 1,000 soms.
This type of allowance is aimed at temporarily supporting children from low-income families until they are brought out of a difficult life situation.
To date, the size of the monthly ui-bulogo komok allowance is 1,200 soms per child.
People living in settlements, where regional coefficients are established, are paid the allowance taking them into account.
As of September 1, at least 263,136 children, or 76,443 families receive the allowance.
The National Development Program provides for an increase in the size of ui-bulogo komok allowance. The Ministry of Social Security and Migration proposes to increase it by 25 percent from October 1, 2024 — to 1,500 soms. The ministry notes that the implementation of the draft resolution in October — December 2024 requires about 1,347.4 billion soms, which will be financed from the budget of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration.
