Former head of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use Duishenbek Zilaliev has been placed in a pretrial detention center until November 4, the press service of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek reported.
«By the ruling of the Pervomaisky District Court of September 14, 2024, the petition of the investigator of the Main Investigative Directorate of the State Committee for National Security was granted. A preventive measure in the form of detention for the duration of the investigation, that is, until November 4, was applied to Z.D.T.,» the press service noted.
Recall, the State Committee for National Security detained Duishenbek Zilaliev on September 12. A week earlier, Melis Satybekov, the former director of the State Agency for Geology and Subsoil Use under the Ministry of Energy, was also arrested. It is known that they are suspected of corruption-related crimes committed in 2017. According to a source, it was then that both officials had access to licenses for the development of mineral deposits and issued them for a separate fee. Satybekov was placed in the pretrial detention center until November 4.
