Court sentenced a Kyrgyzstani to 20 years in prison for the murder of a woman in Stavropol Krai. The regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported.
The citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of weapons.
«The defendant was sentenced to 20 years to be served in a maximum security prison colony,» the statement says.
According to the investigation, a quarrel occurred between the defendant and the brother of his common-law wife in 2018 in one of the private houses in Levokumskoye village.
The press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reports that during the conflict, the defendant began shooting at his opponent, as well as at his common-law wife and her mother, and then fled. The victims were taken to the hospital, where the mother of the man’s common-law wife died.
The defendant was put on the international wanted list. He was arrested in 2023 in Moscow.
