Russian companies are currently implementing 62 investment projects in the Kyrgyz Republic. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk announced at the 6th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum, which is taking place in Issyk-Kul region.

According to him, meetings such as the current forum are in great demand and show the closeness of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. This is a unique platform, a living tool for strengthening ties between the two countries. The Russian Federation is the most important trading partner and one of the largest investors in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Alexey Overchuk added that the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Eurasian Economic Union is also of great importance: over the years that the republic has been a member, its GDP has tripled, tax deductions have increased, and the investment climate has improved.

The economic forum, in which more than 500 people are participating, was also organized with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan.

Russia is represented at the event by several dozen companies, including Rosatom, Gazprom, Azimut, and Moscow State University.
