More than 9 kilograms of hashish ready for sending to Russia found in Batken

Law enforcement officers have seized more than 9 kilograms of hashish in Batken region, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The officers received information that a criminal group was operating in Batken region, who was supplying drugs from Kyrgyzstan to Russia. They found nine briquettes wrapped in yellow tape in the courtyard of a gas station in Kara-Bak rural area, not far from the border with Tajikistan.

The briquettes contained 9,120 grams of hashish. It was established that these drugs belonged to a 48-year-old native of Tajikistan, who lives in Chui region. He is registered as an active member of a drug group. The suspect was detained and placed in the pretrial detention center No. 1.

Operational work is carried out to liquidate the channel for the supply and sale of drugs in the southern regions and Bishkek.
