The kokpar (zher ulak) team of Kyrgyzstan lost to the team of Kazakhstan in the final at the World Nomad Games in Astana (Kazakhstan). The match was broadcast on UTRK Sport TV channel.
The final score was 5:4 in favor of the opponents. The winner was determined only in extra time.
The Kyrgyz team won silver medals.
In the first half, the match was stopped for more than 30 minutes due to a skirmish after the goal by the Kyrgyz team.
The bronze went to the athletes from Russia, who defeated Turkey with a score 8:2 in the match for third place.
Nine teams took part in the kokpar competitions as part of the Games.
The teams of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will also compete in the final of kok boru tournament today, September 12.
