Central Asia and China step up fight against transnational crime

Central Asia and China are stepping up the fight against transnational crime. The first meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security in Central Asia — China format was held in Lianyungang (PRC).

The event was attended by the heads of law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC.

The current issues of cooperation in the field of public security, exchange of experience in countering modern challenges and threats, such as transnational crime, extremism, drug trafficking, cybercrime and human trafficking, were discussed.

The heads of the Interior Ministries of the participating countries told about the measures taken to combat crime and declared their readiness for further interdepartmental interaction and deepening cooperation in the field of public security.
