By the court’s verdict, the defendant, the citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison with serving the sentence in a maximum security prison colony. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.

As it was reported earlier, the Kyrgyzstani was detained in Moscow for a murder committed 28 years ago. The resident of the Kyrgyz Republic, who organized a business in Khakassia in the mid-90s, was accused of murdering a woman in Abakan in the spring of 1996.

The body of the 30-year-old woman with head injuries was found in one of the private houses in Abakan in March 1996. A criminal case was then opened on the fact of the murder, but the perpetrator was not found, and the investigation was suspended.
