SCNS detains men for illegal re-registration of cars for customs clearance

Men involved in the illegal customs clearance of foreign cars were detained by the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS).

According to the security services, the men provided personal data of Kyrgyzstanis for re-registration of cars.

«During the work to suppress illegal activity, the Customs Service opened a criminal case on the facts of using the personal data of Kyrgyzstanis and forgery of documents. It was found out that the citizen provided passports of Kyrgyzstanis to foreigners for customs clearance of cars with subsequent export to the EAEU countries,» the statement says.

In other words, foreigners were given the opportunity to register several cars for customs clearance using the documents of Kyrgyzstanis. At the same time, the people, in whose name the vehicles were re-registered, did not know that they had become the owners of new cars.

The security services detained and placed in custody two people involved in forgery of documents. The investigation continues.
