The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan approved the regulation on the organization of meals for schoolchildren in state and municipal general education organizations.
The decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov in order to create optimal conditions for organizing varied, nutritious and healthy meals for children and ensuring the safety of school meals.
Local state administrations and local government bodies (subject to agreement), when forming the local budget for 2025 and subsequent years, are instructed to provide funds, if possible, for creating the necessary conditions for organizing meals in schools, as well as support for schoolchildren in difficult life situations.
The Ministry of Education and Science has been instructed to conduct certification of school food service workers, who do not have professional education in the field of public catering by the end of next year, as well as to systematically improve the qualifications of employees of educational institutions on issues of organizing school meals.
