A starting ceremony of march under the slogan «For a decent future for Kyrgyzstan!» will take place in Bishkek on September 10. People with disabilities of different categories will take part in the march. Activist Askar Turdugulov (Oscar Reis) reported on social media.
The goals of the march are to reduce stereotypes and stigmas against people with disabilities, promote and protect their rights and promote inclusion in the country.
At least 45 people will represent five regions of the republic.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, there are about 216,000 people with disabilities in the Kyrgyz Republic.
To date, there are many unresolved problems and obstacles that prevent citizens with disabilities from living fully and equally in the country.
The upcoming march will be the tenth.
