Kyrgyzstani Kamil Shar becomes Asian boxing champion among schoolchildren

Kyrgyzstani Kamil Shar became the champion of Asia in boxing among schoolchildren in the weight category up to 67 kilograms.

In the quarterfinals, he defeated an athlete from Iran Mohammad Hosseinzadeh, and in the semifinals — Muhammadrizo Kholdarov from Uzbekistan. In the final fight, the Kyrgyz athlete confidently defeated the representative of Ukraine Yunus Salikhov, becoming the champion of Asia.

The Asian Boxing Championship among schoolchildren is being held in Al Ain (UAE). At least 462 boxers from 26 countries took part in the tournament.

The team of Kyrgyzstan won ten medals — one gold, two silver and seven bronze medals.

The national team took fourth place in the team standings, losing to Kazakhstan, Ukraine and India.
