The President of Kyrgyzstan dissolved local councils and called new elections. The Decree «On the Dissolution of Local Councils of the Kyrgyz Republic and Calling Election of Deputies of Local Councils of the Kyrgyz Republic» was signed.
The document, in particular, states: to schedule the elections of deputies of local councils in the cities of Bishkek and Osh, as well as Batken, Jalal-Abad, Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Osh, Talas and Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic for November 17, 2024.
Elections of deputies of local councils in Batken and Leilek districts, the cities of Batken and Sulukta of Batken region shall be held taking into account the legislative regulation of changes within the framework of the administrative-territorial reform.
To set September 17, 2024 as the start date of electoral actions.
