Major repairs are ongoing on three streets in Bishkek. The press service of the City Hall informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the first layer of asphalt has been laid on Gorky Street from Aitmatov Avenue to Panfilov Street and from Tynystanov Street to Baytik Baatyr Street.
Old concrete curbs are being removed, new ones are being installed, and the road surface is being prepared for asphalting on the section from Tynystanov Street to Panfilov Street.
Two layers of asphalt have been laid on the section of Yunusaliyev Street from Sukhe-Bator Street to Suerkulov Street, and preparatory work is underway from Suerkulov Street to Gorky Street for laying the first layer of asphalt and installing curbs.
The work has been completed on the section of Zhibek Zholu Avenue from Togolok Moldo Street to Suyumbayev Street on the southern side and it is open to traffic. Work is currently underway on the northern side. The second layer of asphalt is being laid on the section from Togolok Moldo Street to Abdrakhmanov Street. It will be opened for traffic in the near future.
The City Hall assured that rehabilitation works on these streets are on schedule. Repairs are scheduled to be completed on October 15 on Gorky and Yunusaliyev Streets, and on Zhibek Zholu Avenue — on October 31.
