Akylbek Japarov visits villages affected by mudflows in Issyk-Kul region

As part of his working visit to Issyk-Kul region, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov visited villages affected by mudflows. His press service reported.

Japarov inspected Temir village in Sadyr-Ake rural district, where he got acquainted with the scale of the damage and held discussions with representatives of local authorities and the Ministry of Emergency Situations on measures to eliminate the consequences.

Akylbek Japarov emphasized the importance of a comprehensive assessment of the damage and development of a plan to prevent similar situations in the future, including strengthening the banks and drainage systems. He also announced the upcoming compensation payments for the restoration of houses and noted the need for property insurance against natural disasters.

Japarov added that, if necessary, online classes would be organized for the children of this village, and land tax deferrals will be provided for local residents.

In addition, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers ordered to strengthen warning systems for possible disasters and prepare assistance to victims.
