Officials fined for illegal import of cattle from Uzbekistan

Veterinary Department of Kadamdzhai district found out that two people illegally brought cattle to the pastures of Orozbekov village in Batken region from Uzbekistan. In addition to the violators themselves, state and municipal employees were fined for this. The press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Thus, on the basis of Part 2 of Article 222 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, the following people were fined:

• Citizens of Uzbekistan — from 7,500 to 15,000 soms;
• The head of the municipal service of Orozbekov village and the head of the pasture committee — 23,000 soms each;
• Deputy of the local council of Orozbekov village — 7,500 soms.
