IndiGo is ready to launch flights on Delhi — Bishkek — Delhi route. Rajan Malhotra, Vice President forAirline Partnerships and Aeropolitical Affairs at the company, said at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to India.
The company has been appointed as an official carrier by the Government of India and has received permission to operate flights on this route 7 days a week.
Askar Beshimov expressed his readiness to provide all possible assistance in further promotion of the issue and noted that a visa-free regime for up to 7 days with the right to re-enter after 21 days is provided for Indian citizens, who have long-term multiple visas to the USA, Great Britain and Schengen countries.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the field of tourism.
IndiGo is the largest airline in India by passenger numbers and fleet size with a domestic market share of 61.6 percent as of May 2024. As of August 2024, IndiGo operates over 2,000 daily flights to 122 destinations — 88 domestic and 34 international. Its main hub is Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
