At the meeting of the heads of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in Dushanbe, the parties signed an official treaty on allied relations between the two countries. Telegram channel of Orda Kazakh media outlet reported.
«This historic document opens up new horizons for us, lays the foundation for further expansion of multifaceted ties. Our joint efforts on strengthening allied relations contribute to ensuring sustainable growth and stability in the entire Central Asian region,» the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was quoted as saying.
It is noted that the states have set a goal of increasing mutual trade to $2 billion.
Following the visit, 15 memorandums were signed between the governments of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, industrial and youth organizations.
