Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov took part in the ceremony of sending the Paralympic team of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Games. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
During the meeting, the official congratulated the Paralympic athletes on securing berths at the XVII Paralympic Summer Games.
He noted that for the first time in the history of independent Kyrgyzstan the country would be represented by four athletes in such sports as powerlifting, triathlon, athletics and judo.
«Your achievements are evidence that sport unites and makes each of us stronger and better. Your participation in the Paralympic Games is already a victory. Your fortitude and will to win will inspire not only our republic, but the whole world,» Edil Baisalov said.
He handed the state flag to the captain of the Paralympic team of the Kyrgyz Republic Mamatibraim Suranov.
The Paralympic Games will start on August 28 in Paris.
