Overhaul of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan has begun for the first time in 70 years. The President of the National Academy of Sciences Kanat Abdrakhmatov reported on Facebook.

«Major repairs are carried out in the main building of the National Academy of Sciences. For the first time in 70 years. «Cosmetic» procedures were carried out several times in previous years. But this is not it! I hope we will stand on our feet! Science will revive,» he posted.

According to the head of the Academy of Sciences, the repair is carried out not only in the main building. The old asphalt in front of the building is being removed, a new one will be laid.

«Black soil was brought — there will be green grass where cars usually stand. My soul is happy,» he shared the news.

Kanat Abdrakhmatov also told that six scientific projects have been funded in 2024, one of them is the creation of a DNA laboratory.

At the same time, the average salary of an employee of the Academy is only 13,000 soms.
