Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kyrgyzstan François Delaus on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Akylbek Japarov congratulated the French side on the successful holding of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, noting that they were historic for the Kyrgyz Republic — the team won 6 medals.
The head of the Cabinet thanked for the contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries and noted that trade between the countries increased 3.6 times and reached €200 million in 2023.
In the 2023 academic year, 122 students from the Kyrgyz Republic entered higher education institutions in France, which is a striking example of fruitful cooperation in the field of education.
François Delaus named tourism, energy and culture as priority areas of cooperation. The parties exchanged views on the prospects for creation and operation of cultural centers in the two countries.
