Exhibition of ala kiyiz to open at National Fine Arts Museum

The Gapar Aitiev National Fine Arts Museum in Bishkek will host an exhibition to promote the traditional felt carpet «Warmth through generations, ala kiyiz — traditional felt carpet.»

The exhibition will feature illustrations, art panels, ceramic interior items, clothing collections, paintings depicting ala kiyiz, and one ala kiyiz as a single item uniting the project participants.

As the museum employees explained, the purpose of the exhibition is to attract the attention of young professionals to the correct and responsible use of elements of traditional culture in their activities.

The exhibition will be opened on August 20 and will last until September 1.
