The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov announced support from the population at a staff meeting with employees of the Presidential Executive Office. According to him, this is 82 percent support for the course of state power.
«The people have seen and felt improvements in all areas. We must maintain and increase these «trust figures» of our people, which requires from us an iron will, unconditional discipline, impeccable work, absolute determination, fortitude and readiness for actions that will turn the course of history. More than just professionalism is required of us now. We have crossed a historic milestone — the country’s GDP amounted to 1,229 trillion soms ($13,981 billion), which is significantly higher than in previous years,» the press service quoted the head of the Cabinet of Ministers as saying.
Akylbek Japarov added that the GDP per capita amounted to almost $2,000, while in 2020 it was only $1,230.
«Thousands of kilometers of roads are being built and hundreds of schools are being opened, special equipment is being purchased for road workers, power engineers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and cities are fully provided with public transport, airports are being built throughout the republic, the country is provided with helicopters and airplanes,» Akylbek Japarov noted and added that, of course, the noted achievements became a reality thanks to fiscalization and the fight against the shadow economy.
«The reforms carried out on fiscalization were not chaotic. They were supported by strictly verified, scientifically based approaches and developed based on the practical experience of fiscal services,» the head of the Cabinet emphasized.
He added that he always says: one should be able to read the figures and make the right conclusions — this is the key to further success.
«Figures should become an analytical tool for us and a basis for making strategic decisions. We need to better understand what is behind these figures: which industries are showing the greatest growth, which regions are making a significant contribution to GDP, and where we need to focus our efforts for further development. The conclusions we draw from these figures should become the basis for further action,» he said.
Kyrgyzstan is gradually moving into another «league» of countries, more competitive and stronger, and accordingly, interaction with international financial institutions will inevitably change.
Akylbek Japarov
«I am speaking to you not just as a leader, but as a person who shares the same destiny and the same mission with you. Not just employees of the presidential administration have gathered here. You are «fighters of the invisible front», guards on whose shoulders lies the fate of the country. Each of you is the key element that moves the entire mechanism of public administration forward. We are here with a great mission. And we fulfill our sacred duty to our country and people,» Akylbek Japarov emphasized.
The head of the Cabinet also noted the active work to combat poverty.
According to him, if in 2022 there were about 111,000 extremely poor families, then in 2024 their number decreased to 81,000. About 13,000 families were provided with social contracts over 3 years.
«We will provide financing to another 23,000 extremely poor and low-income families this year. In addition, the National Investment Fund is being created, which is designed to consolidate state-owned companies in order to improve their efficiency and increase profitability. A new management tool will be introduced that meets international management standards. The skills and competencies of the presidential administration employees must correspond to and correlate with these innovations. We have repeatedly proven that we can overcome any obstacles. Now is the time to reach a new level. The time has come to show that we are not just ready for challenges — we create them, we define them, we win. «Every step you take must be as precise as a surgical incision. We must act decisively, without pity for ourselves or the circumstances,» he said.
